Accounts Senior

Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Senior to join our practice in Crewe. There are various service lines within our business including audit, corporate finance, due diligence, corporate and personal tax, corporate recovery and accounts preparation. The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:-

  • Be able to prepare accounts and self assessment tax returns for our clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Experience of carrying out/completing audits
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Liaise with clients both over the phone and face to face
  • Confidently and encouragingly help train the more junior members of the team.

Experience / Training Programme

We are looking for someone that has a minimum of 3 years experience in an accountancy practice and is an ACCA/ICAEW finalist / newly qualified.

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Practice environment is essential
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst meeting strict deadlines
  • Customer focused
  • Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge/experience of Iris and Open Docs would be an advantage

Accounts Apprentice

Job Description

We are looking for an Accounts Apprentice to join our practice in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will have the following skill set -

  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good communications skills
  • IT skills
  • Microsoft Office knowledge

The role will require the individual to be able to work as part of an accounts team, reporting directly to accountancy managers. Duties will include carrying out bookkeeping, payroll duties, accounts preparation and associated taxation work.

This opportunity will allow the individual to work towards an AAT qualification, with full training and support being provided by Alextra.

RECEPTIONIST/ADMIN ASSISTANT

We are looking for a confident, friendly, professional individual to be responsible for front of house duties. You will be the 1st point of contact with our company so you must have an excellent telephone manner and be able to take and relay messages. Duties will include welcoming visitors, dealing with incoming/outgoing post, typing letters, scanning and filing documents on our internal document management system and other general administration duties required to support the Admin and Accounts Teams.

The successful applicant will be computer/IT literate and have knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. You will have previous experience of working in an office environment and have excellent communication skills, high accuracy and attention to detail. You need to be adaptable, able to prioritise work and able to use your own initiative.

Maths and English Language GCSE Grade C minimum requirement.
