Directors

Keith Knight FCCA

Keith trained and qualified with a local firm of accountants before forming the practice in 1996.

Whilst managing the company from infancy, Keith has attained a wealth of valuable experience and a portfolio of clients with turnovers up to £30m.

Keith specialises in Added Value Tax Strategies and together with lateral thinking and a commercial approach he is able to provide these services to Individuals and businesses alike.

Keith has lived in the Crewe and Nantwich area for all of his life and is married with two children. He enjoys football and motor racing.

Matthew Price BA (Hons) FCA FCCA

Matthew trained and then qualified with a firm of Accountants based in Wolverhampton in 2002. Having gained a wide spectrum of knowledge and specialist expertise Matthew joined Alextra Accountants in 2004 and then became a Director in 2007.

Matthew’s expertise is providing specialist and technical support to clients and colleagues. He is also responsible for maintaining the company's systems and procedures, in order to ensure optimal standards of service are achieved.

Matthew enjoys supporting his sons sporting activities and formula 1.

Shawn Gallimore FCCA

Shawn Gallimore joined the business as Senior Manager in August 2011 and is responsible for a portfolio of clients. Shawn is also involved in the development of new business for the practice.

Shawn has worked in financial roles since 1995. He spent six years as a Director in a Company specialising in working with the Construction Industry and from 2001 gained a wealth of experience of working in public practice. Shawn has been a qualified accountant since 2005.

Shawn prides himself on providing clients with peace of mind, ensuring that all of their accounting and tax affairs are in order. In addition to this Shawn also specialises in providing Added Value Services to clients whether this be by practical business advice or explaining and implementing proactive tax planning strategies.

Shawn enjoys most sports, but his particular interests are football and swimming.

Mathew Weaver FCCA

Mat joined Alextra in July 2014 as one of the firms Senior Accountancy Managers and has since become a Director of the firm to help the development and growth of the business.

Mat studied and trained with a firm of Accountants based in Stoke. Whilst working with the firm he became ACCA fully qualified. He has experience with working on audits for sectors such as food manufacturers, transportation and electrical installation and maintenance to name a select few. He also provided professional advice in strategic sectors such as financial reporting, taxation and forensic accounting.

Mat's experience has been and still is handling the management of clients with high turnovers. Whilst helping to provide accurate and relevant financial and operational information, he is able to assist clients with meeting their financial reporting and taxation obligations.

Matt currently lives in Nantwich and enjoys playing squash and tennis.

Managers

Mike Dixon BA (Hons) FCCA

Mike Dixon started studying at Manchester Metropolitan University where he graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management.

After graduating at university, Mike joined the practice in 2004. Mike studied for the ACCA examinations and became fully qualified in August 2008.

Mike's technical abilities have enabled him to work closely with those clients who work with sage and other computerised software.

Mike enjoys fly fishing, where he has represented England for over six years. He is also a regular golf player.

Ian Biddington FCCA

Ian started studying in 2002 training with a firm of accountants in Stoke on Trent. Ian studied for ACCA and has since gone on to be FCCA registered.

Ian has worked with a variety of clients in industries, such as food, manufacturing, retail, leisure and engineering. Ian's experiences have allowed him to work with clients who have turnovers ranging from £5m to £50m, preparing management accounts and providing support through general business advice.

Ian has experience in preparing audits for individual companies and groups and has previously spent time on secondment with clients working as their Financial Director. This role varied from full time to ad-hoc work.

Ian enjoys playing squash and tennis and spending time with his wife and children.

Sheila Muskin

Sheila Muskin joined the business in 1997 upon the practice’s formation.

She has 35 years experience in accountancy and has worked in professional practices for the whole of her career.

Sheila has gained her knowledge and vast experience through the dedicated work she has provided since she joined the profession. She keenly specialises in small businesses and prides herself on providing high quality services to all clientele.

Sheila is a dedicated football supporter and a keen horse-racing follower. She has lived in the Cheshire area for all of her life.

Robyn O'ReillyRobyn_image

Robyn started studying A Level Accounting and AAT at Newcastle Under Lyme college.

She has since gone on to work in practice since 2008 at a local firm providing a variety of services including bookkeeping, VAT, Personal Tax and Limited Company Accounts.

Robyn is currently studying for her final ACCA exams and is managing a small portfolio of clients as a client manager.

Robyn enjoys walking with her dogs, camping and attending classes at True Grit Training.

Claire Old BA (Hons) ACCA

Claire started her accounts training in 2012 and has since gone on to attain her ACCA qualification and a first class degree in accounting and finance.

Claire recently spent 18 months working for a firm of solicitors in their accounts department, preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, budgets and FCA Returns. She has since returned to practice.

Claire's experiences have allowed her to gain a wealth of knowledge, allowing her to manage a small portfolio of clients as a client manager.

Claire regularly attends the gym.

Michelle McTiernan

Michelle McTiernan is our Payroll Manager.

Michelle studied and successfully attained, with distinction, a Diploma in Payroll Management from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. After becoming qualified Michelle joined Alextra Accountants in 2006.

Michelle is proud of the level of service she provides to clients not only in regards to payroll but also CIS matters. Michelle is currently studying for her bookkeeping qualifications, having passed the first level of exams.

Michelle enjoys watching and playing tennis and is a dedicated fundraiser, regularly taking part in the "midnight walk" for St Luke's Hospice.

Sarah Wright - PA to Directors

Having originally trained as a medical secretary and receiving her Medical Secretaries Diploma in London Sarah relocated to the South Cheshire area in 1985.

Sarah has over 28 years of secretarial and admin experience at Director level, through working in various industries and since joining Alextra Accountants in 1998.

Sarah supports all the Company's Directors and over sees the Admin Department along with maintaining the Company's personnel issues.

Sarah enjoys reading, particularly the genre of historical fiction. She also attends the gym and spends time travelling to new places.
