Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life, in partnership with Tesco, is a series of 5k, 10k, Pretty Muddy and marathon events which raises millions of pounds every year to help fund life-saving research.
Around 1,300 ladies and 220 children from the Stoke area gathered at Central Forests Park to tackle the pretty muddy 5k challenge, helping to raise around £66,000 to support Cancer Research UK. Alextra’s own Claire Old and Farrah Oliver took part in the event helping to play a crucial role in fundraising for the charity.
Fundraising events like these help to support the amazing research conducted by Cancer Research UK and help to turn discoveries made in the lab into better treatments for patients.
Claire and Farrah can be seen below with their finishing medals.
